Hello, my name is Solomon Azar- I HAVE FOUND THE ROAD TO SAFE CLEAN NUCLEAR FUSION- When this is found and understood- the energy crisis will end- I have been looking at this system since 2002 and it is perfect in every way. I finished my experiments upon an interesting date of palm sunday-2007. I have since that time tried to the best of my abilities to inform many people upon the net- there is no question I have done so in an unorthodox manner- but in time it will be found my road traveled to solve this energy crisis was unorthodoxed -all my motives are for the betterment of mankind- you have your way- I have mine- it will make complete sense when heard in public of my approach- have faith :)

I have performed an experiment never done before in science- I used a Tesla coil for its use in high voltage high frequency and apply its discharge plasma not upon the dielectric of free air- but to the dielectric of water itself- specifically I used ultrapure reagent grade water from manufacture NERL-this is to establish the high degree of insulation needed for plasma (you cannot have contaminants for conductivity)- I doped my water with heavy water from the manufacturer UNITED NUCLEAR- I built my 1 million volt Tesla coil entire tunable- every aspect of it- as it must be done to TUNE THE OUTPUT DISCHARGE OF THE TESLA COIL to the water itself- once the arc is stable- the voltage may be increased- I have written in my pdf file in my website of noblefuse.com that a prerequisite of 750 kv is needed as an electric field gradient about the charged particles used in fusion( in this case the hydrogen bound in the water molecule) because of voltage drops as expected as in all electrical systems upon the load (load here is the water)- a much higher voltage is needed in order to distribute the voltage gradient upon entire arc plasma length between electrodes in water- THUS- THE HIGH THE VOLTAGE- THE BETTER- within my website you will find a link to youtube showing my primitive experiment- BUT MAKE NO MISTAKE ABOUT THIS- THIS IS THE FIRST TIME EVER DONE BEFORE - I propose nuclear fusion of water/heavy water- my little experiment IS THE ROAD TO NUCLEAR FUSION- we must universally connect the dots- put two and two together- and conclude this- MY EXPERIMENT MUST BE REPEATED ON A LARGER SCALE- my system is a direct replacement of nuclear power plants particularly of the pressurized water reactor which uses heavy water already - a vessel already built for gamma radiation and other high energy flux which will emit with the plasma arc-

Power reactor in which the heat is dissipated from the core using highly pressurized water (about 160 bar) to achieve a high temperature and avoid boiling within the core. The cooling water transfers its heat to the secondary system in a steam generator. Example: Grohnde Nuclear Power Plant in Germany with an electrical output of 1,430 MW.

Replace the rod assemblies and use electrodes to conduct the Lightning bolt! High Voltage High frequency will create the magnetic pinch to slam the isotopes of hydrogen together which is bound in water- helium and oxygen are the outgassed products recaptured by expansion tanks-it is absolutely perfect!

Here is a thought experiment for electromagnetic fusion with Einstein in mind

Pretend you are water-you are an oxygen atom- you are stable- you are noble- 8 protons-8 neutrons-and 8 electrons- there are only 5 magic shell nuclear elements of the periodic table- oxygen is one of them- it is very stable-

Therefore- you are stable and noble- you have no need for fusion- yet it could happen- but the probability of another element such as hydrogen and its isotopes would be made to fuse together in some kind of fashion mankind tries will occur way before oxygen does- - ok-so now you are this noble one and you have outstretched in your hands a hydrogen atom and or its isotope deuteron and you hold it out to mankind as a gift-

Man understands the gift of fusion for many years and is desperately trying to do such-

I propose electromagnetic fusion- I propose the BENNET pinch used in poloidal currents used in plasmas of tokomaks- but much further-

Here we go – the thought experiment- you are this oxygen atom with two hydrogen’s and you stand amongst your friends similar in nature. You are placed in a large vessel filled of your kind-now imagine that two walls opposing in this vessel are the plates of a capacitor- who cares what is applied to the capacitor plates (electrodes of system)-for all you know as a noble oxygen and the hydrogen you have in your hands is nothing more than the electric field upon the plates-

You are composed of charged particles- thus you will interact with the applied electric field of the plates-this is common electronics and electric knowledge-

However, I speak of dielectric breakdown- I speak of the lightning bolt- let us now assume we have made the capacitor plates oscillate at 1 million volts peak to peak as way of a tesla coil

Think of the electric field- everything will be controlled by this field- a dielectric breakdown will occur- and all discharge current will begin to flow and oscillate as a function of the applied voltage-

Now- you are in the heart of a lightning bolt- you who are noble as a oxygen probably lost all your valence electrons due to the magnitude of such a high electric field- every charged particle in transit of the discharge current is surely ionized and talks of being a complete water molecule should be erased- the state of this plasma current is nothing more than ionized hydrogen and oxygen and a complete sea of electrons-

Let us think first of the electrons- 1896 times smaller than protons- no question it will oscillate much faster as a function to the applied voltage- remember the cathode ray scope- basic physics also will say this charged particle will also have a magnetic field about itself because of the electric field that has driven it-thus- this oscillating electron current will have an intrinsic magnetic field

Let us now think of the protons- oxygen has 8 and surrounded by 8 neutrons and is far less likely for reaction than isotopes of hydrogen for fusion- this should merely be understood by refereeing to atomic tables of elements and known theory- but this hydrogen is a singly bound proton with mass one- unless we speak of a deuteron- it will also be controlled exactly the same way as the electron is affected by the external applied voltage- however- it is opposite to the electrons motion-and much slower by its mass – however-its magnetic field will add to that of the electrons- this is standard knowledge of magnetic field generation of charged particles by way of electric fields-

Thus, in this thought experiment- within this state of dielectric breakdown- I like to say the lightning bolt- can you now see the oscillation of the charged particles by such a large magnitude of the applied voltage plates- can you now see the probability at a certain moment in time- particularly when the applied ac signal is greatest- that all magnetic fields of charged particles in transit can have the power to be magnetically pinched-

Magnetics have push and pull- it is well known that high frequency causes a constriction upon electrical currents- whether in copper lines and forcing such to the surface- or in plasma and made use to constrict it - high frequency is known to constrict the currents- thus- do you see the forces I am referring to as this dielectric breakdown has occurred upon the most perfect fuel of the heavens- water- this oxygen atom holds the hydrogen for us- we shall apply a high voltage (high is relative- I have stated 750kv in the vicinity of the hydrogen for fusion- I come to this by way of understanding the beta decay of a free neutron- if it can disintegrate- it can come together- made into a deuteron- then made into helium)-

Thus –we make helium and oxygen is then unbound and must also be recaptured- this is easy in expansion tanks- the byproducts are helium and oxygen-truly noble-

To increase the q of this system- a simple toroidal magnet as used in tokamaks for plasma control may be used for additional pinching-

I hope this helps- however- you must always think of the applied electric field and its magnetic inducement upon the charged particles- we will stably run the Tesla coil upon the dielectric of water itself (more appropriately heavy water) and turn up the voltage for greater acceleration speeds and thus magnetic fields- we can control pressure in this vessel- we can control electrode spacing and so much more-

that is my thought experiment for you to understand it is my intention to use all input energy by way of oscillating a very large electric field which will induce the proper magnetic flux density in units of Tesla for a pinching- not established hot fusion whereby all energy input is chaotic and the probability of fusion comes by way of statistics from a gas equation- no- high voltage and high frequency in an orderly manner by the construction of a man made lightning bolt with controllable parameters inside an existing pressurized nuclear reactor- everything is off the shelf- the world will run on steam power again globally-from trains-factories-ships-and all power plants- I offer the Watt steam engine again- not with two sticks to make fire and boil the water- but electromagnetic fusion with two electrodes to induce fusion of hydrogen isotopes to boil water and make steam- it is absolutely perfect.

To the CEO's of nuclear power plants-or pressurized coal fired- you have spare reactors in the back yards of your plants- take a 1 million volt tesla coil and do what I have said- you will measure its fusion reactions and you will conclude this - I have found the road to safe clean energy.

I speak plain science- please connect the dots and let us end this energy crisis for a world that desperately needs energy- May the light of God shine upon all our actions for the betterment of mankind

I was listening to the freeenergynow podcast and they were talking about the Joe cell phenomenon and browns gas which seems to be the most popular form of free energy these days. During the podcast the guest was mentioning the root cause of this phenomenon to be electric resonance. Not this is understandable that ac current creates a sine wave but most of these devices are charged from a 12v DC battery. Correct me if Im wrong but wouldn't DC current not create a resonance unless it is pulsed. How can DC current create a resonance?

I will give 300 dollars to the first physics department that simply repeats my experiment and verify safe nuclear fusion- I would give more-but i am a lonely garage inventor who has sacrificed my entire life to find answers and ran completely broke doing it- upon a successful experiment last year in which concludes the following statement- I HAVE SOLVED THE ENERGY CRISIS. i quickly placed the video of such experiment and ALL information for a world to repeat freely on the net.

one year has now transpired upon this most technically advanced device of human creation in communication - the internet- in which I have declared "I have solved the energy crisis" and have tried to stimulate my fellowman to assist in uncovering-

to this date- there is no question the vast majority are deterred to investigate as I call myself a messenger of god- i follow my heart and the wishes of the heavens in a test and observation of the faith of humanity they have with investigating solutions for all of us-

everyone wants solutions but doesn't want to do anything to achieve them- thus- a new year begins as my only approach to have my experiments vindicated is by the faith in my fellowman to take it upon themselves and inform others.

I dont care for business, thus, i have no money interests in the most lucrative energy idea ever- but i give it all for my messenger duties-

Is joe cell a proton cell?

I found this on Peswiki and thought it was close to what I believe the Joe cell does, although I would stress that the primary cause and effect of anything is vibratory or based on some sort of wave.action/reaction. We should have had this technology along time ago when John Worrell Keely discovered it in the late 1800s. We would already have anti-gravity or as I like to call it M.D.R for Mass Density Reduction as well as the ability to increase the mass density and make things heavier. It opens a door into a world where most anything could be realized into physicality. Anyway, I have gone on a tangent. the Joe cell is one of those devices that inspire us to try harder, especially when its nearly impossible to find articles on any debunking of the device, not to mention all the write ups on men in black visiting inventors garages in broad daylight with idle threats. perhaps instead of trying to disprove this device we should be working on making it more efficient.

Chuck Zukowski said he is used to skeptics deriding his belief in UFOs as silly escapism, but that's OK.

"There's more physical evidence that UFOs exist than there's physical evidence that Jesus Christ existed," the Colorado Springs resident and reserve sheriff's deputy said.

Zukowski was one of about 70 people, ranging from college students to retired professionals, who flocked to the Tivoli Student Center at the Auraria Campus on Saturday to talk about evidence of unidentified flying objects and convince skeptics.

No bug-eyed costumes with dangling Slinkys were in sight at the annual Colorado UFO Briefing. It was serious business.

"The evidence is simply overwhelming," said James Carrion, international director of the Mutual UFO Network, a national group that studies sightings.

Carrion used to flip through his mom's National Enquirer magazines when he was 11, sparking his interest in the topic. At that time, the tabloid actually used to hire real investigators to dig for information, he said.

The 38-year-old network is the world's largest UFO investigative group, with 2,500 members and 800 field investigators, Carrion said. Devouring thick books and attending seminars is a requirement to become a certified investigator.

Jefferson County resident Rick Nelson said he once saw three barrel-shaped objects fluttering in the sky over Arvada. One of the shimmering gold and copper things was about one-quarter mile away before it shot to the sky and out of sight, he said.

"Anyone who spends time researching it can't dismiss it," he said.

Colorado has a disproportionately high number of UFO sightings - about 5 to 12 a month out of a national 150, according to the Bellvue-based group.

It's unclear why, said Alejandro Rojas, the group's education director.

"We have a lot of cutting-edge (air) defense going on here," he said, explaining part of the sightings spike.

An annual UFO conference is set for Aug. 10-12 at the Denver Tech Center Marriott, where the negatives of McMinnville, Ore., UFO photos - pictures declared authentic by a group of University of Colorado scientists - will be shown to the public for the first time, Carrion said.

It seems that we are living in a paranormal time now, especially with the discovery of the exotic matter called mono atomic gold. It turns out that the exotic element is gold digested into a powder form and once in that form becomes super conductive. Under some tests the element even would disappear and go into another dimension. zero point and The God Genome

The God Genome

Cuneiform Tablets from Sumeria upon which many creation stories are based offer some clues about today’s technologies and their relation to nature and “God”.

1) - “The “creating gods/angels” called “Elohim” in the Hebrew book of Genesis, and identified as “extraterrestrials by modern scholars, came from the sky.

2) - They “created” man and many species of plant and animal life on earth and throughout the heavens.

3) - The “Tree of Life” (Genome) and the “Tree of Knowledge” (Data-Base) are the same tree in the original tablets, but are identified as separate entities in the Bible version. Because genetic information is stored as bar-code on computer and because consciousness itself is essentially mathematical codes the 2 trees are in fact one, but need be identified as separate elements also to enhance understanding of their functions.

The technology of genetics is revealing today exactly how this “original” creation took place; recently translated tablets state that a breed of extraterrestrial beings spliced some of their intelligence genes into pre-existing primates on earth to create “thinking-man (Homosapiens). Many myths (e.g. Talmud) indicate several subsequent metamorphic genetic modifications to man, which occurred overnight and are attributed to “angels” rather evolution.
The pre-existing primate having evolved from a “seed/spore” designed to adapt mutate and evolve, which was spread throughout the universe by the same creators … once it evolves to complex life forms they are then “modified” (GM) to suit the creator’s purpose, according to the planetary conditions they land in.

The Bible says that the gods withdrew the Tree of Life from the Garden of Eden (a virtual paradise where machines did the work of men) lest he would live forever after receiving the data-base (internet) and become equal to the gods, knowing both the good and evil (paradox of life).
The gods placed 4 agents called “cherubim” around the earth to contain it, they have explosive devices (a “sword” = weapon of fire , which bursts forth in every direction, to destroy the earth before man can finish his work on decoding the genome to gain eternal life. This is the revelation of Atomic Technology (the A-Bomb).

These gods/angels from the sky master the elements we know as space-time and energy-matter, work on recovered saucers after 1947 has resulted in the back engineering of “Antigravity Propulsion Technology” and “Point Zero Energy” which is a free form of residual energy from the big bang and which permeates all space and matter.

The Bible tells that in the last days of this world that all the mysteries (secrets of God’s power) of god will be revealed. I submit that they are all revealed now through the technologies mentioned … being Genetic Engineering, Nuclear Physics, Antigravity Propulsion, and Point Zero Energy.
The other side of this theory is that “the gods” actually come from earth and are the best (most creative) minds evolution can produce, and the best predators, in business for example, accumulating data riches and power until they are able to build the space-time saucers and transcend the earth and its limitations. Again through pure intelligence. For reasons of intellectual property they do not allow what they develop to be left behind for others to abuse and destroy it.
Whether these gods come from heaven, earth, or both, they exhibit a position of mastery and superiority over their servants, hence the title “lords”.

So in short the actual reason for the world’s destruction is that there is a form of intelligence used by these gods which they “contain” on the host planet(s) to be used as a tool not to be released into the heavens. “World” is term used to describe a global civilization, not necessarily a planet. There are 5 “worlds” in the Maya stories (a cosmological cycle of 25,800 years = 1 star-precession cycle) and 4 in the Hebrew story (a cycle 6000 years … approx. ¼ of the 25,800 year S.P. cycle).

To understand the Bible it is necessary to understand the metaphorical terminologies and symbols which are consistent throughout the whole book, as well as throughout all related books which include several hundred rabbinical books the best known being the Talmud and the Kabala. As well as throughout many related cultural languages.

Tree of Life = Genome = Family Tree = Heritage
Tree of Knowledge = Data Base = World-Wide-Web (a terrestrial version of a system used by the creating gods).
Light = Intelligence = Love/Understanding = Brilliance = Good
Darkness = Ignorance = Evil =
Serpent: An ancient symbol of knowledge.
Fruit: Most recent offspring of a given genome, a result.
Cherubim = Chariot = extraterrestrial saucer, not engineered on earth.

The Vedic scripts and other religious texts state that all life and the material plain which supports are manifestations of pure (divine) consciousness (intelligence) which is exactly what this theory describes, a consciousness so advanced that it is probable that universal dimensions are in themselves created through the same formulas as are, an understanding so immense that it can only be described as love.

Great news to everyone in the green movement. Television is finally warming up to the idea of green and we'll be seeing a slew of Sustainability oriented shows in the near future.
I work at a television production company in the S.F. Bay Area, and there has been a serious buzz from all the major networks about acquiring Green Content. They want it.

We have been appoached by a network to do a 6 hour show. The premise is a "race" of several green vehicles across the country.
Here's where you come in: We need high quality, well developed alternative fuel vehicles.
This is a major opportunity to show the world where the alternative fuel movement is, and really bring it into people's homes for the first time.
If you have, or know of someone who has a well refined and solidly working alternative fuel vehicle, please get in contact with me as we would like love to have you and your vehicle on the show.

Knowing how prolific Biodeisel is I'm sure we'll be getting lots of great entries for that technology. What we really will need are some exceptional examples of other technologies. EVs, Wood Fuel, Water Fuel.... Other technologies that are being developed and in a reasonably well developed state. One of the show concepts will be do display several different green car technologies.

charging AA cells with a little solar light

I just discovered I can charge 2 AA batteries using my solar light.

I was getting tired of paying for non-rechargeable batteries than drain very quickly in my digital camera. I bought 4 of these 1.2V 2000mAh NiMH AA batteries at Wallyworld for about $10. I take two out of the charger before dark and put them in my camera. I exchange the other 2 batteries into the solar light and turn the light off. I turn the light on in the morning and the batteries charge all day with the :::---free energy ---::: from the sun.

I bought the solar light from Mallwart a couple of years ago for about $13. It is one of those lawn lamps or runway lights as I've heard them called. Normally, I use the solar lamp on board as an anchor light -- I was sure to get a "white" colored LED to be coastguard compliant. And sometimes it is used as a flashlight (torch) in a pinch. It is my only source of electrical power (generation) without going to shore. For your information, I cook using premium unleaded gas with a little stove. The boat needs no motor, it moves with sails and/or oars.

About twenty years ago I heard a channeling of Paul Solomon on a tape, which really surprised me. In the tape the Universal Mind was asked, “What is the most important thing a Spiritual person can do while living on Earth to be of service?” I thought the Universal Mind was going to say something like, be loving, be a Master, give your life in service, be of the Spiritual/Christ/Buddha/God Consciousness, transcend negative ego, transcend fear and worry. However, to my surprise what the Universal Mind said was that the best thing a Spiritual person can do on Earth to be of service was for every person on Earth to plant a tree. Even though this was twenty or twenty-five years ago I have never forgotten this for the truth of these words reverberated through my being!
Our greedy, materialistic, technologically over-identified world has pillaged and raped the Earth. I remember a beautiful movie I saw once about the Rainforests of South Africa and the tribe people called the Americans the termite people. They called them this because they destroyed all the trees. It was not a compliment.
The trees are the lungs of the planet. Without trees life cannot survive on planet Earth. We have already experienced acid rain on this planet, and gaping holes in the ozone level as well as the greenhouse effect. If there is one thing all lightworkers and people could do through their country and the United Nations is to set up reforestation programs. I believe Israel and China are the only two countries on Earth that plant more trees than they destroy. If that pattern continues the ecological balance of this planet will be destroyed. I think you can now see the wisdom of this channeling and the importance of these words. There are organizations all over the world where you can send money and they will plant a tree in your name if you do not want to do it yourself which is understandable. Please do raise consciousness on this issue. For the trees create oxygen on the planet and without enough trees there is not enough oxygen. All countries should at least plant as many trees as they destroy and hopefully plant more than they destroy! So let it be Written! So let it be Done!

Bedini motor

Just joined, a friend and I have built a couple of Bedini motors - they seem to work as advertised... High voltage (~900V) output from 12V input - not frequency dependent - Milliamp current in and will run for weeks it seems on one battery. Very simple (relatively) to build.

I have a book titled The Sea of Energy in which the Earth Floats . It details Moray's invetion in the early part of last centurty of a devive which delivered useable current when 'tuned' to cosmic radiant energy occilations. Does anyone know of the Moray radiant Energy device? Has it been duplicated recently? From what i read he refined Germanium to use in the tuning componant which would establish a resonant connection with the vast sea of cosmic radiation and thru the circuitry in the device be transformed into a useable current. There was some problem if i remeber correctly, with them conventional light bulbs burning out faster than usual because the energy was of such a high frequency but it did work, cool, clean , quiet FREE electrical energy was delivered thru his invention.

I don't know if anyone here has heard of this guy. You can search his name on the web and find all kinds of info about his inventions.

He invented the "car that runs on water" mentioned in an episode of The X-Files. He's most well known for his discovery/invention of a device that uses harmonic frequencies at high pulse rates to separate the hydrogen and oxygen in water. His invention does this with ANY water, not just purified water like most electrolosis devices. The device also operates at over-unity, producing more usable hydrogen energy than the electricity put into the system.

The unit was demonstrated successfully many times. He even built a car that ran purely off of this technique. A battery would start the reaction, and then the hydrogen would be used to create electricity, and run an electric motor. Thus, the whole car was powered off of a tank of water filled from a garden hose. Nice, huh?

For those interested in Free Energy, I suggest doing a search for a video titled: "It runs on water." It was an episode of a show called "Equinox that airs on British TV. So you might find it under "Equinox: It runs on water." The episode features Stan Meyer and four other "free energy" devices, all demonstrated quite effectively on tape. You should be able to find the video on any file-sharing program such as e-donkey, limewire or winmx.

Effects of "Free Energy"?

I've posted this in a few other tribes...very curious as to what people's opinions are:

For various reasons, I've been thinking a lot about what the most likely global-political effects would be of Free Energy. To say it would undermine oil (and really all commodified energy) would be the tip-o-the iceberg I think. It's well known that the govt. has confiscated energy inventions for decades now, and Tesla sure was right about most of his work so....hypothetically....what if plans to build a free energy machine spread like wildfire over the internet and basically everyone had the ability to build their own?

Given that the machine worked, and people started building them right away, what do you folks think would happen? Would people who are starving and have no chance for a normal life be helped? Would it lead to a balancing out of wealth and resource across the planet? Or would it cause irreversible chaos...

I can't get my head around it, yet the possibility seems very real to me.

Adam Trombly is one of the top scientists in the world in the development and creation of Zero Point Energy technology. Devices that he built are working today in other parts of the world. And yet, instead of using Zero Point Energy, Adam Trombly's own house in Maui is being fitted with a bank of expensive solar panels.

Adams: How did you become interested in free energy?

Trombly: I was raised as a scientist and I have spoken the language of science all of my life. My mother was a blood specialist, my father was a biochemist, and my sister was at one time a biophysicist.

When my father had just gotten his Ph.D. in biochemistry from Purdue University — I was a young child — he was enlisted as a biochemist, by a fellow Purdue alumnus named Frank Olsen, into a U.S. Air Force/CIA joint project. He was stationed at the biological warfare laboratory in Fort Detrick, Maryland. This was in 1952 during the Korean Conflict. He had been a highly decorated U.S. Army Air Corp officer in World War II, but the government felt that he had a skill of strategic importance to the national security.

At Fort Detrick, he and Olsen, along with a couple of other scientists, were working on a very compartmentalized project. Since he died when I was in the eighth year of this body, I knew very, very little about what this project involved. On the seventh anniversary of his death (4/3/1967) I was in my mother's attic, putting out mousetraps, when I discovered a couple of boxes that contained journals my father had kept during his time at Detrick. You weren't supposed to keep journals, but he did.

One of the things he wrote about in his journals was his exposure to alien technology that totally defied what were considered, at that time and even still to this day, the laws of physics.

He wrote a letter to Dr. Quackenbush, who was on his dissertation board at Purdue, saying that what he had seen challenged even his "most vivid imagination." This was right after he got there.

After he had been there about a year, the notes he wrote got really interesting. He specifically described various technologies which he stated plainly were of "alien origin." He described not only flying disk-shaped craft and their related energy and propulsion systems, but Extraterrestrial Biological Entities. His work was actually concerned with them.

On November 19, 1953, my father (along with Dr. Frank Olson and a couple of other colleagues) was taken by Dr. Sidney Gottlieb to a summer camp near Baltimore. While there, he and his colleagues were involuntarily given large doses of LSD in their cocktails; doses on the order of 10,000 to 15,000 micrograms. Olsen knew about the experiment, and out of concern for my father told him, "Harvey you have been given a psychoactive drug and you are beginning to feel its effects. Don't worry."

Olsen had also taken a large dose of acid, and later freaked out because he said he had, "blown the experiment." It was supposed to be a double-blind experiment for all of the participants other than Olsen. He was supposed to keep silent.

Frank Olsen continued to feel unsettled, and was rushed by CIA personnel to New York for psychiatric examination. Something terrible happened instead. Frank was bludgeoned in the head and then thrown from his hotel room window. He was murdered. This, at least, was the conclusion of forensic pathologists hired by Frank's son Eric in 1994.

My father filed an internal protest demanding an investigation of his friend's and colleague's death, and that was what ultimately triggered the events that killed him.

In January of 1954, under the illusion that he was being immunized from a new retroviral biological warfare agent, he was injected instead with a live virus that he had discovered during his research. He became extremely ill. In his notes, he indicated that he immediately knew. "They killed Frank," he said, "and now they have killed me. The difference is that I will die slowly, very slowly."

He died in 1960, from a form of lymphoma as eleven government labs did morphological workups of his cells.

When I discovered that his death had not been an accident of nature, I was heartbroken. I despaired of life. I sat with a knife a quarter inch into my chest, with blood already trickling down, begging whoever was present at Infinity to reveal the truth of existence.

And in the next moment, I suddenly had no doubt of God or, if you prefer, the Buddha Nature, and I saw things with great clarity.

Adams: Do you believe that we're in denial about the involvement of aliens in the affairs of this planet?

Trombly: The American public has been lied to for so long, they wouldn't be able to recognize the truth if Jesus told them personally.

It's very difficult for the American public to know what is going on. In many ways, we are a nation in denial, and all too often a nation of alcoholics and drug addicts. We are in incredible mass denial.

People see what are referred to as flying saucers and UFOs. Sometimes they are not saucers but triangles. Sometimes they're small, and sometimes they're huge and look like buildings.

It doesn't matter how many people in remote places or in cities see them, or photograph or videotape them. The perceptions are simply shut out.

There are amazing mind-control projects going on. People literally cannot maintain their attention span. More than once I have stood and watched crafts 100 or 200 feet over my head and had people say things like, "Well that's not an airplane," or "Oh, my God, are we actually seeing this?" "Is that real?"

But by the next day, the whole chemistry of denial has set in and those same people say, "Wow, that was a strange airplane, it was going really slow, or really fast, and how did it make that right turn?"

This is what got me started in free energy technology — though I hate the term free energy, because it's anything but free. Many have paid dearly for its advent. I don't even know what term I like at this point. I use the term Zero Point Fluctuation Technology — ZP Technology.

I used to have a company called Zero Point Technology. As soon as you put something like that on your shingle, you discover just how unacceptable this concept is to those whose growth stopped so long ago.

People are being bombarded with subliminal messages that tell them that aliens don't exist. Even The "X-Files," which is a joke (thank God they're canceling it), was originally intended, by Chris Carter, to be something more than just random amusement. It was intended to be groundbreaking. But there's government interference. And this is a huge subject. People don't understand that the "other U.S. government" has had contact for decades with cultures that aren't from this planet.

We're like the aboriginal people of New Zealand, or Papua, New Guinea, or any other remote tribe. When they see an airplane, they think that it is a God — or they at least, they used to. Of course, now they think that it's just people who are more primitive than they are, but who have technology.

We are the same way with "alien" cultures. We are the same way with really clean and advanced electrical technologies that could begin to help us understand just how wonderful and abundant Being — simply being — is.

When I got involved in ZP in 1979, I was warned by Buckminster Fuller that if we were successful there'd be hell to pay. If we were actually successful, then it could develop into a real nightmare, because the humans we're dealing with are a species that has been kept in the dark. We've been treated like mushrooms (which are kept in the dark and fed a lot of feces -- there's no nice way of putting this).

The extremes to which these people are willing to go to make your life miserable are phenomenal. They go out of their way to torment those who challenge their utter mediocrity.

Then there are certain people who hang around in the so-called free energy field, who speak at conferences and who have never discovered, engineered, or invented anything in their entire lives that is worthy of note. What they have done is mediocre at best. I won't name them, but they just haven't produced. These are the people who say, "No one has ever bothered me."

These are the same people who — behind my back and behind the backs of those who have actually produced functional technologies — say, "Well I've never seen anything that he's produced."

Adams: Can you tell us more about this alien agenda?

Trombly: I know that there's an alien agenda because my father wrote this in his journals. He said he had discovered that the U.S. government had become involved in its implementation. He went further to say that this alien agenda, in his opinion, was contrary to the good of the human species and the planet.

He believed that a sector of the military/industrial complex was involved in a program, basically, to transform our atmosphere, which is benign to our species and other Earth species, into one that is greatly reduced in terms of its oxygen content.

So this is a force which doesn't have good intentions for us. It is a force that would gladly exterminate us. And yet human beings act as agents for this force. The "human" species is exterminating itself, by its own hands.

My father spoke of alien agendas in his most secret thoughts. This was not something he spoke of in public. He would never have given this interview, I'll tell you that much.

Adams: What species is this alien force?

Trombly: I can't say, but I can say that the species that are trying to harm us are a tiny minority of a vast host of alien species. My father knew of a couple. It wasn't just one, even back then. This sounds very far fetched — I know it sounds nuts. But I decided if I was going to give an interview for this particular publication, I wasn't going to pull any punches.

Adams: Many of the people who read this will share your belief system.

Trombly: Well, this is not about a belief system. I don't like belief systems! This is about reality! We are the ones who are collectively destroying the womb of the Earth in which our species gestates, in which we evolve.

There are real terrorists in Washington, and even, I dare say, in the White House. And we are very rapidly approaching the time when that statement will be considered criminal. The incident we call 9-11 was a mockery. Now, every time someone dials 911 they'll think of the evil demon Osama bin Laden who in fact is someone we helped to create.

Alkhaida was largely financed by the U.S. government. We gave the Taliban 128 million dollars last year to suppress the growth of opium in Afghanistan. Where do you think that money came from? Where do you think it went?

Everyone thinks the 9-11 was caused by Osama bin Laden and his cronies. There's no doubt that some of his money comes from Saudi Arabia, but the fact is that the U.S. government is the primary source of funding for the Taliban. Why? Because Dick Cheney and his cohorts want to build an oil pipeline through Afghanistan.

Adams: What has happened to the free-energy technologies that you've produced?

Trombly: Every single technology that I have either invented or co-produced is no longer in my possession. There's one in Arizona that has supposedly become a national security issue.

A former colleague of mine once went off on his own with a design that he and I had come up with. He built a device that was very successful — and is now in a can, and he is a shell of his former self.

Forget about whatever technologies I have had a hand in reducing to practice. We have heard from very credible sources that these are nothing compared to the technologies already being produced by certain prime contractors right here in the United States.

Why is it a national security issue? Why is a generator that generates several times more output than input a security issue? Why is it that the American people cannot enjoy what their tax dollars are paying for? Why is it that we have a government that is willing to deny the American people access to the very technologies they themselves are secretly producing?

It's not a joke. Our government has produced technologies, with our tax dollars, that could immediately begin to reverse the damage done by the irresponsible use of fossil fuels, and they are not allowed to be used.

They continue to pollute this atmosphere, and they continue to reduce the amount of metabolically available oxygen. Who could possibly benefit from that? What species do you know of that is actually better off today than, say, fifty years ago?

What is it that we do when we burn these fuels? We make fire. What is fire? Fire is a rapid oxidation process that releases heat. The real destroyers of the equatorial rain forest are forest fires, because of the incredibly poor husbandry. There's nothing good you can say about what's being done to this planet!

There are far too many people in the U.S. government and other national governments who are acting in a way that is completely moronic and self-destructive. It is not a human agenda! This is what I'm trying to get you to see. There is this whole other thing happening.

We are exploited by a corporate structure — by the "military/industrial complex" Dwight Eisenhower warned us against in his farewell address to the nation. Eisenhower got the term "military/industrial complex" from Mussolini, who was describing Fascism. These are words you don't want to use in our society.

At Project Earth we get mail from all over the world, and the one word that keeps coming up since our last so-called presidential election — about that debacle, that tragedy — is the word "coup." From the perspective of the vast majority of the human species, it was a coup. They say this in India, Japan, South Korea, France, Holland, Spain — everywhere. In spite of the fact that we never posted an article on our website that said or even suggested that we had a coup, people write to us and say, "How come the American people don't realize that they just had a coup?"

Then, following on that coup, we have 9-11. Everybody is terrified, but people don't want to talk the way I'm talking now. They think it's self-destructive.

I tell you truly, it is our collective silence that is truly destructive.

The United States of America is a sacred idea. It is a sacred thought-form. What was America to the people who risked and frequently lost their lives to create it? It was the New Jerusalem. The spiritual foundation of the United States of America is an absolute necessity of our spiritual dimension. It was founded on the basis of the absolute need of the human spirit for freedom.

But freedom brings with it great responsibility and demands great intelligence.

We do not want to live in hell, but we are creating hell for ourselves. We are tormenting each other and ourselves. We're doing these things as if we have no choice. We are truly brainwashed.

The real ultimate cult that's going on in America is this one of jingoistic, flag-waving, unquestioning patriotism. We can get ourselves all hyped up on Zoloft, and that still doesn't change the fact that we as a nation have lost an incredible amount of prestige and trust because of what happened in 2000.

No matter how much money we put into the military budget, we will not be able to restore that trust in our own people or in the rest of the world until, through grace or the incarnation of the Divine Process, our democracy is resurrected from its present contrived state. It is a travesty.

When Dick Cheney refuses to turn over documents to investigators, he gives comfort to our enemies. Truly dangerous and deranged people in truly difficult countries like Pakistan cite the actions of our corrupt public officials as justification for their actions.

If we say to the world that we represent Freedom and Democracy, then by God we have an obligation to be Free and Democratic.

In the meantime, the world laughs, because perfectly capable intelligence officers in the United States are oppressed for the sake of short-term political agendas.

The Central Intelligence Agency attempted to warn the White House before September 11. The entire affair was handled with what can only be called incompetence. While three-oletter agencies spent our tax dollars listening to my calls, true terrorists were going to flight. And in spite of over an 18-minute warning crash, a second full-size passenger jet went into the World Trade Center.

Even so, we are all supposed to fall into line and cheer.

Once, in 1986, I was introduced to a man in Toronto, Canada, who turned out to be a major Soviet technology spy. When he offered me a lot of money and a lot of benefits if I would turn over mechanical drawings for an electrical generating technology I had co-invented, I told that agent to go screw himself. I told him I was under a gag order, and that I would not violate that order.

He responded by saying, "What loyalty do you owe to your country? They have done nothing to help you or your work. If you cooperate with us we will appreciate you and take good care of you and your family. Three hundred million people will benefit from your technology. Who cares if a shaft is made in Leningrad or if assembly occurs near Moscow?"

Once again, I told him to go screw himself, to go back to the totalitarian hell that he came from — and then I got the hell out of his office.

In September of 1986, I turned this man in to the FBI — and as a consequence, I ended up under investigation myself!

In February of 1987, the counter-intelligence unit of the FBI contacted me. During my second so-called "interview," one of the special agents who interviewed me was Robert Hanson, now known as a famous spy for the former Soviet Union.

Hanson interviewed me about whether or not I was a spy. But he knew I wasn't a spy, because he was!

It's not just the U.S. government that's suppressing all this stuff, it's the whole theater of this species. The "human" species has rarely demonstrated qualities that say that it should be maintained or can be sustained.

This species has never acted in a way that is consistently to its own benefit. For thousands of years, this species has acted in a manner that can only be described as both sadistic and masochistic, and on a planetary scale. It has not acted intelligently.

At the same time, there is no decision to change, because the vast majority of the human species don't even realize that we have a choice to do that. They don't realize that we have the choice live intelligently. They don't even know or what that would entail.

My protests to the "powers above" are consistently related to this central fact: "I know there's a choice, you know there's a choice, but the general population on this planet has no clue that there's a choice. We can choose to live in a completely abundant and pollution-free environment. We can make that choice and have more abundance, and not less abundance. We can stop spending money for fuel. The capital expenditure for fuel could be completely eliminated. That would free up trillions of dollars annually, globally, from the world budget, from the planetary budget."

If you want to know why I got involved in this technology, it's because we have a way to generate almost boundless levels of electrical power without any pollution or fuel, without even the need for solar panels or wind power.

It's ridiculous that I am installing solar panels in my home, when I have spent the last 23 years of my life in the field of ZP Fluctuation Technology research and development and have one more than one occasion successfully demonstrated it along with colleagues who have also learned the same hard lessons that I have.

Adams: Can we still restore this planet?

Trombly: We can if we act with great clarity and great speed. No obstacle could stand in our path.

We could even reclaim the Sahara Desert. It didn't used to be a desert. It was destroyed by people who cut down the forest and overgrazed the grasslands that were once there. Now the same thing is happening in Brazil, Indonesia, China and South East Asia.

These forests and grasslands are like your skin. What does the skin do? It keeps us from becoming dehydrated. When a person gets third-degree burns, one of the leading causes of death is dehydration. The same thing is true of the forests and grasslands.

It's about maintaining that tissue and understanding that it is very vulnerable. These membranes are being taken away.

We can also reclaim the desert that is forming in the northeastern corner of Brazil, where there was rainforest a hundred years ago. The Brazilian desert exists because the Brazilian people won't stop cutting down their own trees. I say this very bluntly. If the Brazilian people want to demonstrate that they have some intelligence, then they'll stop cutting down the rainforest, which is the equatorial life support of our planet.

If the United Nations and if the American government want to demonstrate their intelligence, then they will suggest that we should give credits to these countries for their oxygen production.

We can reclaim the deserts by these new technologies, by taking the water out of the oceans and using it on the desert.

Where you run into the logjam, over and over with all these issues, is the question of energy.

How can we heal the ozone layer? It's going to take a tremendous amount of energy to do that. We have to replenish the oxygen that's not getting into the stratosphere.

One of the fundamental points that I try to make is about chlorine. It is a molecular demon once it gets into the ozone layer. One chlorine ion can interfere with the production of 100,000 molecules of ozone. So we have to eliminate as much free chlorine and bromine as possible.

But even if we entirely eliminated chlorine and bromine production, that would still not be enough to heal the stratospheric ozone layer.

Another significant cause of ozone depletion, one that is often overlooked, is the reduction in the amount of oxygen that should be transported into the stratosphere over the equatorial rainforests. Project Earth has been trying to educate people to this fact since the mid-eighties. The oxygen source has literally been cut off by deforestation. But we can heal that by reintroducing a tremendous amount of oxygen up there, and replanting the forest down here, on Earth.

It will take energy. Lots of it.

Adams: Can you describe how your life has been endangered because of your perspectives on free energy?

Trombly: If I had described my life to you since 1980, it would be a long, long story, and it would sound like a bad spy novel.

I've had a number of attempts on my life through really serious poisonings. My wife has had to revive me and give me CPR.

So we've had a whole nightmare component to our life. But we don't live in a nightmare at all. It's quite the opposite.

However, I must say that it has been almost unimaginable at times.

Once, in 1988, I was visited by a couple of scientists at my home in Colorado. One of them was Bob Dratch, a man who has done a lot of work in creating microwave detection equipment, which is widely used by the Department of Defense.

Basically, I was standing in my office, which was a large room, 27 feet long, and Bob Dratch was shaking change in his pocket, to demonstrate that his very sensitive microwave detector could pick up the signal this jingling generated. The signal would appear on the meter and the printout.

I pointed the horn of the device at Dratch to measure the effect. And then, as I pointed the horn away, I kept my finger on the trigger and happened to point it out the window of my office. To our surprise, the alarm went off on the machine! The red light went on, and the meter peaked.

My office was being microwaved!

We walked into my back yard and found the place where the signals were being broadcast. It was right behind my house, in a little forest, right next to an engineering company that is well known for making satellite antennas.

We clipped the cable to the antenna that was broadcasting microwaves at my house, and I called the FCC in Denver and I said told them that this was illegal and I wanted it stopped now. I said, "Stop microwaving me." I already had cancer.

Within three weeks, this engineering company was totally gone. I assume they themselves had something to do with the broadcast, or they wouldn't have left so suddenly.

So dozens of people had to relocate to Kansas, or whereever.

But why were they trying to kill this body? We are perplexed at times by the strange modus operandi of this group.

The world is not going around very well right now, because people aren't loving. When people love, they become geniuses. Intelligence isn't about thinking, it's about feeling. I don't care how many times the force of darkness, which resists love, has attacked you and made you feel separate.

I don't care how difficult anyone's life has been. I guarantee you, I can match it. But suffering is finite, it's limited, it's not eternal. You can transcend suffering through love.

The resurrection we are called to is our resurrection. Once Jesus stood in front of Lazarus' tomb, and commanded, "Lazarus, come out." And we are told that Lazarus came out.

That is similar to what is happening right now. Surrounding this planet, there is a gathering which is inviting the human species into a new dimension. They are saying, "Lazarus come out, come out of your subjective tomb and out of your corruption. Come out of your doubt of God and out of your doubt of Love. In the midst of Infinity and Eternity, We command you."

Now, in this moment, we must come out and ask for help. When we can ask for help, we get it.

People don't understand that you become realized by incarnating love. We live only as expressions of love, in eternity. The only thing that is eternal is Love. Love as the presence of consciousness is eternal and infinite.

Time and space are subsets of eternity and infinity. Space and time are subjective states, and they have nothing to do with limiting the ultimate reality of consciousness, not even a little bit. They have to do with the gnarled subjective states of the contracted world.

Scientists talk about the accelerating expansion of the universe, but it's not that, it's the unremitting transformation of the universe that's happening, the inescapable transformation of the universe.

You don't have a choice about it this time. It isn't the same as it was two thousand years ago. We are in the midst of the time of the resurrection. It involves you and me and everyone on this planet, I don't care who they are.

There will be miracles everywhere. The most powerful thing is love. The whole astrophysical community is now acknowledging this power, but they call it the "dark energy." They give it this Darth Vader quality, because they don't know how to relate to the Light. It is the contraction of form and the denial of the Infinite Divine that causes the appearance of darkness.

Adams: How long has there been a conspiracy to prevent the development of free energy?

Well, if you are referring to the technological side of things, I guess you could say it started with Nikola Tesla. (Although the crucifixion was really an attempt to stop Free energy as well.)

Nikola Tesla was given the vision of infinite electrical power, without fuel, in the 1880s. He demonstrated it in 1886 and 1889, and then throughout the 1890s. He tried to give this gift, but the fossil fuel boys decided he couldn't give it. The fossil fuel boys decided that maybe they could make use of him, so they didn't kill him right away. They killed Tesla in 1943.

One of the detectives approached me in 1981, at a conference. This man told me that Tesla had been murdered. So I guess you could say that it all began right there. When I was a kid in school, nobody knew about Tesla. Tesla was the father of alternating current electricity. Tesla said he was inspired by aliens, beings from other dimensions. He was anathematized because he refused to kowtow; he refused to attend the same temple that the others worshipped in.

Adams: How can we make free energy available to the planet?

Trombly: There is no such thing as free energy without enlightenment and liberation. The technologies point to free energy. We are the technology. We are the free energy.

Great yogis like Sri Babaji demonstrate this. Yogananda talked about him. He was the physical demonstration of free energy. He was the physical demonstration of what the Tibetans called the Rainbow Body. He was transparent and transfigured in God realization, the realization of the Buddha Nature.

There are alien cultures and cultures in other universes who happen to be attentive to the events on this planet because this is one of the last archetypal moments. This will not continue anymore. This entire kind of universe is obsolete and will not occur again, because it would be masochism and sadism to allow it to be perpetuated.

There's a transformation that is occurring. It is about the liberation of all the energy that has been bound up in all of these worlds that are subject to corruption. That is the real physics. This is what is really important.

In the meantime, by understanding that this is true, we can tap into a field that we call Zero Point Vacuum Fluctuation or the quantum ether, and we can generate electrical power. Electrical power exists in complete abundance, without any capital cost for fuel.

Solar technology is so very expensive. We have 108 solar panels in our two facilities on Maui and it takes up a great deal of space. I would love to have ZP Technology here, but the fact of the matter is, if I had that working right now, this place would become a target.

The other side of this story is always the same thing. Just when Light appears on this planet, the subjective forces of darkness manifest with great tenacity. This government was overthrown and nobody knows anything about it. People are silent about it.

On the cover of Newsweek, on September 11, was an article about the secret vote that made Bush president. The article was about a conspiracy in the Supreme Court. Newsweek at that time was willing to challenge the Supreme Court. The Executive Branch of the United States government was about to fall, because it was going to be exposed.

But then the planes hit the World Trade Center.

If Al Gore had been elected, I know the man well enough to know that we would have been in a different economy after four years. We would've begun to implement these technologies.

The United States government has, right now, the technology to eliminate the energy crisis. This consoling gesture that George Bush made the other day, about developing hydrogen fuel-cell technology, is just a carrot that he's dangling before the American people.

Now there are military people who have come forward and are talking about the presence of aliens and alien technology on this planet. They are even talking about the fact that we are making our own flying saucers. This Disclosure Project is extremely important for people to know about (see Secrets from the Stars elsewhere in this issue).

We could be having the greatest economic boom in the history of history. We could actually do that. The technology exists. As early as the 1970s, Henry Kissinger, George Bush, Richard Nixon — all kinds of these guys — knew about this physics. But the downside is that we are on the brink of oblivion.

Parents are paying all this money to educate their children into the lie of physics instead of the truth of physics. Meanwhile, they are taking Prozac. We have legalized the anesthetization of our species. Depression is appropriate.

Adams: What is the purpose of your organization, Project Earth.

Trombly: The original foundation of Project Earth was to reveal to the human species the actual condition of our planet. We're not being told the truth about it. For the most part, the scientific community doesn't know the truth and has been so disempowered by their so-called education that they've lost vision.

Vision is the only thing that will save us. You have to be able to see where you're going.

The agreement that I made with the Divine is one that Bucky and I talked about. We would never just illuminate the problem, we would always offer a solution. If we talked about an energy crisis, we would talk about only it in the context of the fact that there is no energy crisis.

Electrical power is already abundantly available, pollution free. We like electricity. We can power our cars and flying saucers with infinite electrical power. We could have so much fun that living on earth wouldn't be a drag, but would be really great.

Your eyes would be so open that you would walk out the door and you wouldn't see the smog in Los Angeles, but you'd see the clear, sacred air.

1. Abandon the world. The world is the enemy of the Earth. The "world as we know it" is a deadly parasite on the biosphere. Both cannot survive, nor can the world survive without the Earth. Do the logic: the world is doomed. If you stay on the parasite, you die with it. If you move to the Earth, and it survives in something like its recent form, you can survive with it.

Our little world is doomed because it's built on a foundation of taking from the wider world without giving back. For thousands of years we've been going into debt and calling it "progress," exterminating and calling it "development," stealing and calling it "wealth," shrinking into a world of our own design and calling it "evolution." We're just about done. We're not just running out of cheap oil -- which is used to make and move almost every product, and which gives the average American the energy equivalent of 200 slaves. We're also running out of topsoil, without which we need oil-derived fertilizers to grow food; and forests, which stabilize climate and create rain by transpiring water to refill the clouds; and ground water, such as the Ogallala aquifer under the Great Plains, which could go dry any time now. We're running out of room to dump stuff in the oceans without killing them, and to dump stuff in the atmosphere without wrecking the climate, and to manufacture carcinogens without all of us getting cancer. We're coming to the end of global food stockpiles, and antibiotics that still work, and our own physical health, and our own mental health, and our grip on reality, and our will to keep the whole game going. Why do you think so many Americans are looking forward to "armageddon" or the "rapture"? We hate this shitty world and we want to blow it up.

In the next five or ten years, the US military will be humiliated, the dollar will collapse, the housing bubble will burst, tens of millions of Americans will be destitute, food, fuel, and manufactured items will get really expensive, and most of us will begin withdrawal from the industrial lifestyle. SUV's will change their function from transportation to shelter. We will not be able to imagine how we ever thought calories were bad. Smart people will stop exterminating the dandelions in their yard and start eating them. Ornamental gardens will go the way of fruit hats and bloomers. In the cities, pigeon populations will decline.

This is not the "doom" scenario. I'm not saying anything about death camps, super-plagues, asteroid impacts, solar flares, nuclear war, an instant ice age, or a runaway greenhouse effect. This is the mildest realistic scenario, the slow crash: energy prices will rise, the middle class will fall into the lower class, economies will collapse, nations will fight desperate wars over resources, in the worst places people will starve, and climate disasters will get worse. Your area might resemble the botched conquest of Iraq, or the depression in Argentina, or the fall of Rome, or even a crusty Ecotopia. My young anarchist friends are already packing themselves into unheated houses and getting around by bicycle, and they're noticeably happier than my friends with full time jobs. We just have to make the mental adjustment. Those who don't, who cling to the world they grew up in, numbing themselves and waiting for it all to blow over, will have a miserable time, and if people die, they will be the first. Save some of them if you can, but don't let them drag you down. The first thing they teach lifeguards is how to break holds.

2. Abandon hope. I don't mean that we stop trying, or stop believing that a better world is possible, but that we stop believing that some factor is going to save us even if we do the wrong thing. A few examples:

Jesus is coming. If you believe the Bible, Jesus told us when he was coming back to save us. He said, "This generation shall not pass." That was 2000 years ago. Stop waiting for that bus and get walking.

The Mayan calendar is ending. Some people who scoff at Christian prophecies still manage to believe something equally religious and a lot less specific about what's going to happen. At least Jesus preached peace and enlightenment -- the Mayans were a warlike people who crashed their civilization by cutting down the forests of the Yucatan and exhausting their farmland. That's what we should be studying, not their calendar and its alleged message that a better world is coming very soon and with little effort on our part. Now the Mayan calendar gurus will say that it does take effort and we have a choice to go either way, but go back to 1988 and read what 2004 was supposed to look like, and it's obvious that we've already failed.

Technology will save us. If it does, it will be something we don't even recognize as "technology" -- permaculture or orgonomy or water vortices or forest gardening or quantum consciousness or the next generation of the tribe. It will not be a new germ killer or resource extractor or power generator or anything to give us what we want while exempting us from being aware and respectful of other life. Anything like that will just dig us deeper in the same hole.

The system can be reformed. Yes, and it's also not against the laws of physics for us to go back in time and prevent the industrial age from ever happening. Ten, twenty, thirty years ago the ecologists said "we have to turn it around now or it will be too late." They were right. And not only didn't we turn it around, we sped it up: more cars with worse efficiency, more toxins, more CO2, more deforestation, more pavement, more lawns, more materialism, more corporate rule, more weapons, more war and love of war, more secrets, more lies, more callousness and cynicism and short-sightedness. Now we're in so deep that politicians right of Nixon are called "liberal" and the Green Party platform is both totally inadequate and politically absurd. Our little system is not going to make it.

Also, there's a time lag between smokestacks and acid rain, between radioactivity and cancer, between industrial toxins and birth defects, between atmospheric imbalance and giant storms, between deforestation and drought, between soil depletion and starvation. The disasters we're getting now are from the relatively mild stuff we did years or decades ago, before SUV's and depleted uranium and aspartame and terminator seeds and the latest generation of factory farms. Even if we could turn it around tomorrow, what's coming is much worse.

We're not strong enough to destroy nature. Oddly, this argument almost always invokes the word "hubris," as in, "You are showing hubris, or excessive pride, in thinking that by lighting this forest on fire to roast a hot dog, I will burn the forest down. Don't you know humans aren't capable of burning down a forest? Shame on you for your pride."

In fact, we've already almost finished killing the Earth. The deserts of central and southwest Asia were once forests -- ancient empires cut down the trees and let the topsoil wash off into the Indian Ocean. In North America a squirrel could go tree to tree from the Atlantic to the Mississippi, and spawning salmon were so thick in rivers and streams that you couldn't row a boat through them, and the seashores were rich with seals, fishes, birds, clams, lobsters, whales. Now they're deserts populated only by seagulls eating human garbage, and nitrogen fertilizer runoff has made dead zones in the oceans, and atmospheric carbon dioxide is increasing oceanic acidity, which may dissolve the shells of the plankton. If the plankton die, it's all over.

Maybe we can't kill absolutely everything, but we are on the path to cutting life on Earth down to nothing bigger than a cockroach, and we will do so, and all of us will die, unless something crashes our system sooner and only kills most of us.

3. Drop Out. (See my essay How To Drop Out.) Dropping out of the present dominant system has both a mental and an economic component that go together like your two legs walking. It's a lot of steps! Maybe you notice that you hate your job, and that you have to do it because you need money. So you reduce expenses, reduce your hours, and get more free time, in which you learn more techniques of self-sufficiency and establish a sense of identity not dependent on where you get your money. Then you switch to a low-status low-stress job that gives you even more room to get outside the system mentally. And so on, until you've changed your friends, your values, your whole life.

The point I have to make over and over about this process, and this movement, is that it's not about avoiding guilt, or reducing your ecological footprint, or being righteous. It's not a pissing contest to see who's doing more to save the Earth -- although some people will believe that's your motivation, to justify their own inertia. It's not even about reducing your participation in the system, just reducing your submission and dependence: getting free, being yourself, slipping out of a wrestling hold so you can throw an elbow at the Beast.

This world is full of people with the intelligence, knowledge, skills, and energy to make heaven on Earth, but they can't even begin because they would lose their jobs. We're always arguing to change each other's minds, but nobody will change if they think their survival depends on not changing. Every time you hear about a whistleblower or reporter getting fired for honesty and integrity, you can be sure that they already had a support network, or just a sense of their own value, outside of the system they defied. Dropping out is about fighting better. Gandalf has to get off Saruman's tower!

4. You are here to help. In the culture of Empire, we are trained to think of ourselves as here to "succeed," to build wealth and status and walls around ourselves, to get what we desire, to win in games where winning is given meaning by others losing. It is a simple and profound shift to think of ourselves instead as here to help -- to serve the greatest good that we can perceive in whatever way is right in front of us.

You don't have to sacrifice yourself for others, or put others "above" you. Why is it so hard to see each other as equals? And it's OK to have a good time. In fact, having a good time is what most helping comes down to -- the key is that you're focused on the good times of all life everywhere including your "self," instead of getting caught up in egocentric comparison games that aren't even that fun.

Defining yourself as here to help is a prerequisite for doing some of the other things on this list properly. If you're here to win you're not saving anything but your own wretched ass for a few additional years. If you're dropping out to win you're likely to be stepping on other outsiders, instead of throwing a rope to bring more people out alive. And as the system breaks down, people here to win will waste their energy fighting each other for scraps, while people here to help will build self-sufficient communities capable of generating what they need to survive.

In the real world, being here to help is easier and less stressful, because you will frequently be in a situation where you can't win, but you will almost never be in a situation where there's nothing you can do to help. Being here to win only makes sense in an artificial world rigged so you can win all the time. Thousands of years ago only kings were in that position, and they reacted by massacring all enemies and bathing in blood. Now, through a perfect conjunction of Empire and oil energy, we just put the entire American middle class in that position for 50 years. No one should be surprised that we're so stupid, selfish, cowardly, and irresponsible. But younger generations are already getting poorer and smarter.

5. Learn skills. Readers sometimes ask for my advice on surviving the crash -- should they buy guns, canned food, water purifiers, gold? I always tell them to learn skills. You know the saying: get a fish, eat for a day; learn to fish, eat for a lifetime. (Just don't take it too literally -- there might not be any fish left!)

The most obvious useful skills would include improvising shelter from materials at hand, identifying and preparing wild edibles, finding water, making fire, trapping animals, and so on. But I don't think we're going all the way to the stone age. There will also be a need for electrical work, medical diagnosis, surgery, optics, celestial navigation, composting, gardening, tree propagation, food preservation, diplomacy, practical chemistry, metalworking, all kinds of mechanical repair, and all kinds of teaching. As the 15th century had the Renaissance Man, we're going to have the Postapocalypse Man or Woman, someone who can fix a bicycle, tan a hide, set a broken bone, mediate an argument, and teach history.

Even more important are some things that are not normally called skills, but that make skill-learning and everything else easier: luck, intuition, adaptability, attentiveness, curiosity, physical health, mental health, the ability to surf the flow. Maybe the most fundamental is what they call "being yourself" or "waking up." Most human behavior is based neither on logic nor intuition nor emotion, but habit and conformity. We perceive, think, and act as we've always done, and as we see others do. This works well enough in a controlled environment, but in a chaotic environment it doesn't work at all. If you can just get 10% of yourself free of habit and conformity, people will call you "weird." 20% and they'll call you a genius, 30% and they'll call you a saint, 40% and they'll kill you.

6. Find your tribe. We minions of Empire think of ourselves as individualists, or as members of silly fake groups -- nations, religions, races, followers of political parties and sports teams, loyal inmates of some town that's the same as every other. In fact we're all members of a giant mad tribe, where the relationships are not cooperative and open, but coercive, exploitative, abusive, and invisible. If we could see even one percent of the whole picture, we would have a revolution.

You may feel like you want to do it alone, but you have never done it alone. To survive the breakdown of this world and build a better one, you will have to trade your sterile, insulated links of money and law for raw, messy links of friendship and conflict. The big lie of postapocalypse movies like Omegaman and Mad Max is that the survivors will be loners. In the real apocalypse, the survivors will be members of multi-skilled well-balanced cooperative groups.

I think future tribes are already forming, even on the internet, even among people thousands of miles apart. I think the crash will be slow enough that we'll have plenty of time to get together geographically.

7. Get on some land. This might seem more difficult than the others, yet most people who own land have not done any of the other things -- probably because buying land requires money which requires subservience to a system that makes you personally powerless. I suggest extreme frugality, which will give you valuable skills and also allow you to quickly save up money. You probably have a few more years.

If you don't make it, it's not the end of the world -- oh wait -- it is the end of the world! But you still might know someone with room on their land, or someone might take you in for your skills, or if you have a tribe one of you will probably come up with a place in the chaos. And if not, there will be a need for survivors and helpers in the cities and suburbs. So don't force it.

If you do get land, the most valuable thing it can have is clean surface water, a spring or stream you can drink from. Acceptable but less convenient would be a well that doesn't require electricity, or dirty surface water, which you can filter and clean through sand and reed beds. At the very least you need the rainfall and skills to catch and store enough rainwater to drink and grow food. (The ancient Nabateans did it on less than four inches of rain a year.) Then you'll need a few years to learn and adjust and get everything in order so that your tribe can live there year-round, even with no materials from outside. With luck, it won't come to that.

8. Save part of the Earth. When I say "the Earth," I mean the life on its surface, the biosphere, as many species and habitats as possible, connected in ways that maximize abundance and complexity -- and not just because humans think it's pretty or useful, but because all life is valuable on its own terms. We like to focus on saving trophy animals -- whales, condors, pandas, salmon, spotted owls -- but most of them aren't going to make it, and we could save a lot more species if we could put that attention into habitats and whole systems.

So how do you save habitats and whole systems? You can try working through governments, but at the moment they're ruled by corporations, which by definition are motivated purely by short term increase-in-exploitation, or "profit." You can try direct physical action against the destroyers, but it has yet to work well, and as the world plunges to the right I think we'll see more and more activists simply killed.

My focus is direct positive action for the biosphere: adopting some land, whether by owning or squatting or stealth, and building it into a strong habitat: slowing down the rainwater, composting, mulching, building the topsoil, no-till gardening, scattering seed balls, planting trees, making wetlands -- a little oasis where the tree frogs can hide and migrating birds can rest, where you and a few species can wait out the crash.

Tom Brown Jr. mentions in one of his books that the patch of woods where he conducts his wilderness classes, instead of being depleted by all the humans using it for survival, has turned into an Eden, because his students know how to tend it. Some rain forest environments, once thought to be random wilderness, have turned out to be more like the wild gardens of human tribes, orders of magnitude more complex than the soil-killing monoculture fields of our own primitive culture.

Humans have the ability to go beyond sustainability, to live in ways that increase the richness of life on Earth, and help Gaia in ways she cannot help herself. This and only this justifies human survival.

It requires a new set of skills. A good place to start is the permaculture movement. Sadly, in the present dark age the original books are all out of print and rare, and classes are so expensive that the knowledge is languishing among the idle rich when it should be offered free to the world. But the idle poor can still find the books in libraries, and many of the techniques are simple. What it comes down to is seeing whole systems and paying attention and innovating, driven by the knowledge that sustainability is only the middle of the road, and there's no limit to how far we can go beyond it.

9. Save human knowledge. When people of this age think about knowledge worth saving, they usually think about belief in the Cartesian mechanical philosophy, that dead matter is the basis of reality, and about techniques for rebuilding and using machines that dominate and separate us from other life. I'd like that knowledge to die forever, but I don't think it works that way. Humans or any other hyper-malleable animal will always be tempted by the Black Arts, by techniques that trade subtle harm for flashy good and feed back into themselves, seducing us into power, corruption, and blindness.

Our descendants will need the intellectual artifacts to avoid this -- artifacts we have barely started to develop even as the Great Bad Example begins to fall. In 200 years, when they are brushing seeds into baskets with their fingers, and a stranger appears with a new threshing machine that will do the same thing with less time and effort, they will need to say something smarter than "the Gods forbid it" or "that is not our Way." They will need the knowledge to say something like:

"Your machine requires the seed to be planted alone and not interspersed with perennials that maintain nitrogen and mineral balance in the soil. And from where will the metal come, and how many trees must be cut down and burned to melt and shape it? And since we cannot build the machine, shall we be dependent on the machine-builders, and give them a portion of our food, which we now keep all for ourselves? Do you not know, clever stranger, that when any biomass is removed from the land, and not recycled back into it, the soil is weakened? And what could we do with our "saved" time, that would be more valuable and pleasurable than gathering the seed by hand, touching and knowing every stalk and every inch of the land that feeds us? Shall we become allies of cold metal that cuts without feeling, turning our hands and eyes to the study of machines and numbers until, severed from the Earth, we nearly destroy it as our ancestors did, making depleted uranium and polychlorinated biphenyls and cadmium batteries that even now make the old cities unfit for living? Go back to your people, and tell them, if they come to conquer us with their machines, we will fight them in ways the Arawaks and Seminoles and Lakota and Hopi and Nez Perce never imagined, because we understand your world better than you do yourself. Tell your people to come to learn."

SF Area Biodiesel car drivers needed for photoshoot

hi all - if you live in the SF area and you've got a car runnin' on biodiesel, my friend Derek's looking to photograph you with your car for a magazine - he sent out a note on tribe earlier this week and i figured i'd repost it here.

i can't figure out how to get you in touch with him (DAMN YOU, TRIBE! this redesign SUCKS) - other than to go through my tribe friends and find Derek Powazek. If you're interested, he's a fantastic photographer and a really REALLY cool guy. He'd make you and your car look fabulous. :-)
